To configure user roles and permissions within a team

If your user account is set as an Owner of a team, head to the Team page from the Outlaw Dashboard. If applicable, select the team in which user's you want to modify.

From this table of users you are able to view the name, email, title, role and permissions of each user on the team.

To configure user roles and permissions within a team

Find a user, tap β€’β€’β€’ and select Update permissions from the dropdown menu. A modal with team role and permissions will show. Read below for definitions on role and permissions.

Owner

  • Manage team members

  • Create and edit templates

  • Create new documents

Editor

  • Create and edit templates

  • Create new documents

Viewer

  • Create new documents
    (If New Docs is toggled)

Access/Permissions

Observer

  • Allows user to see (observe) all documents within a team's repository.

Observer default user role

If a user accesses a document that they are not explicitly invited to within their team, their user role can be set to the following:

  • Viewer (view only) πŸ‘ˆ Default

  • Proposer (redlines)

  • Editor (edit document & variables)

  • Owner (editor privileges and manage document sharing)

New Docs
(Relevant only if user's team role is Viewer)

  • Checked (default) user can create new and duplicate existing documents

  • Not checked user can not create new and duplicate existing documents
