Set a Default Value for Variable

When creating a variable element, you can enter a value in the optional "Default value" field, which will auto-fill this variable in all new contracts from this template:

This is a great option if the response for this variable will be the same most or all of the time, but you want to maintain the field as dynamic for any reason, including to be able to collect meta data from it.

You can change or remove a default any time by clicking on the variable in the template and editing or deleting the value entered in the "Default value" field.

In a contract, if you want to enter a response for this variable that is different from the default, simply click on it, enter a new value, and press save!
