Address Handling within FVDA – Outlaw

This article will cover how to add in a Connected Variable for a Contact's address and target specific parts of an address (first line, city, state etc) when using Filevine Document Assembly.

Adding in an Address using FVDA

All addresses are tied to a contact in Filevine so you must first find that Contact's connected variable.

Find your Contact's Connected Variable

Reminder: Connected Variables begin with [+fv and then follow with the name of the section and then the name of the field.

Example: [+fv_casesummary_primaryattorney
Select the address field for your Contact. Once you select the contact card, you can begin typing to word address and will see the field as an available selection
Select the desired address field you would like to bring into your template. Options Include:
1. Line 1
2. Line 2
3. City
4. State
5. Zip

Things to Note:

You will have the ability to also bring in the full address by selecting the "Full Address" option vs each individual piece

Address handling is not supported for Collection Section Tables or Repeaters at this time
