Setting Conditions within your FVDA template can be incredibly helpful when looking to maximize your document generating via Filevine Document Assembly.
Conditions can be used to combine multiple documents that you would have previously needed to separate, say because of Case Type or Jurisdiction. Utilizing conditional logic that is driven by Filevine also allows for a decrease in manual efforts by your team.

How to set a Condition from a Filevine Field

Bring the Filevine Field into your FVDA template - We will be using the example of "Incident Type"

Select (Click Into) the section you would like to have conditional upon this Filevine Field

Select the determining variable from the Conditions dropdown on the right

Select the Criteria for the determining variable. Criteria will vary depending on your determining variable type

Determine the Appropriate Scope for Determining Variable

Conditional Color

Gold/Yellow: Conditional is properly set

Red: Information/Selection is Missing for Set Up

Conditions based on multiple variables
Conditions can be based on more than one determining variable. In that case, a second determining variable, could be identified by selecting a new variable from the drop down menu and setting an appropriate response for this second variable.
