The Vinesign integration for Filevine Document Assembly (FVDA) and Outlaw automatically sends documents to Vinesign at the Signing step, allowing you to leverage Vinesign’s full suite of eSigning capabilities, including designated signer order and signing by SMS.
Note
Vinesign can only be used for the Signing step on Outlaw’s default 5-step workflow, and cannot be used with Custom Workflows.
- Setting Up the Integration
- Configuring Your Template to Use Vinesign
- Using Vinesign in a Document Workflow
Setting Up the Integration
To begin the integration process, sign into the relevant Vinesign account, navigate to Settings, and then select the API Keys tab.
If you do not yet have an API key, click Add API Keys to create a new one.
In another browser tab, sign in to Outlaw, then select Team and choose your team name from the drop-down. Select the Integrations tab and click Enable in the Vinesign section.
Next, click Configure to display the necessary fields.
Copy the API Key and Secret from Vinesign, then copy the App URL into the Base URL field, which should be in the format https://api.[yourVinesignInstance].vinesign.com.
In Outlaw’s Integrations tab, click Test Connection to confirm the data has been entered correctly and the integration is ready.
Configuring Your Template to Use Vinesign
Signing via Vinesign is configured at the template level, and cannot be changed during document editing.
To switch between Outlaw’s native eSigning and Vinesign for the Signing step, edit the template in Outlaw and navigate to Settings. Enable Sign with Vinesign to use Vinesign.
Then, navigate to the Elements > Parties tab, and set the signing order of the parties:
Using Vinesign in a Document Workflow
When Vinesign is enabled in a template, the documents created from that template will display “Click to eSign with Vinesign” in the Signature Block.
Progressing to the Signing stage will automatically send the document to Vinesign and notify the parties designated in the Signature Blocks. Once all parties have signed, a PDF of the document is automatically added to the .vine as a new version.
